Narrowing towards the bottom with almond-shaped decoration, surrounded by stylized foliage with shell (shanka) in relief. H 4,5 cm (Korbrand), 11,5 cm (Henkel), G 169 Gramm. Ca. 18 Karat. Bikonischer, sechsseitiger Körper mit breitem, passigen Rand. Körper und Rand zieren ein feiner und dichter, durchbrochen gearbeiteter Figuren- und Floraldekor. Dünner, geschweifter Henkel. Im Gefässinneren je ein kleines Röhrchen zum einsetzen eines Räucherstäbchens. (2) Provenienz: Alte Schweizer Privatsammlung, in den 1940ern in Sumatra als Geschenk erhalten. Of biconical, hexagonal shape with a wide, bracket shaped rim. Allover decorated with openwork figu- res, flowers, and scrolls. Thin, looped handle. A small tube inside each vessel for inserting an incense stick. (2) Provenance: Old Swiss private collection, received in the 1940s in Sumatra, thence by descent.
