117* GROSSE FIGUR DES MAITREYA Tibet, 15./16. Jh. H 29,5 cm. Feuervergoldete Kupferle- gierung, der Kopf ist kalt bemalt. Kleine Türkiseinlagen zieren den Schmuck. Der Buddha der Zukunft hat die Hände in dharmacakra-mudra erhoben und sitzt auf einem doppelten Lotosthron. Auf den beiden Lotosblüten neben den Schultern stehen seine Attribute Stupa und Kundika. Unverschlossen. Provenienz: Alte kanadische Privatsammlung, erworben in den frühen 1990er-Jahren in Vancouver. A LARGE GILT COPPER ALLOY FIGURE OF MAITREYA Tibet, 15th /16th c. Height 29.5 cm. The head with ritual paint, the jewellery set with turquoises. The future Buddha with a serene expression and two lotus flowers with the at- tributes stupa and kundika blooming next to his shoulders.
