Zusammenkunft der Absolventen der kaiserlichen Jins- hi- Beamtenprüfung des Jahres Yi Chou der Jiaqing-Periode (1805), welche in der Residenz von Zhu Weibi in der Hauptstadt stattfand. Die Gruppe beschäftigt sich in einer Gartenlandschaft mit kultivierten Aktivitäten. Die Kolophone halten die Namen der Teilnehmer fest. Tusche auf Papier. Querrolle. Malerei: 44 × 405,5 cm. Titel: 44 × 133 cm. Aufschrift: 44 × 206 cm. Die Steinplatten befanden sich in einem buddhistischen Tempel in Hangzhou, sind aber während der Kriegsjahre am Ende der Qing Dynastie, Anfang der Republik-Zeit zerstört worden. Als Vorbild diente eine gemalte Querrolle, die sich im Palastmuseum in Peking befindet. Provenienz: Erworben zwischen 1876 und 1884 in China, seither in Schweizer Familienbesitz. The stone slabs were located in a Buddhist temple in Hangzhou, but were destroyed during the war years at the end of the Qing dynasty or beginning of the Republic period. The original painted handscroll is in the Palace Museum in Beijing. Provenance: Purchased by a Swiss collector between 1876 and 1884 in China, thence by descent.
