Ein vergleichbares Exemplar befindet sich in der Samm- lung des Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York (Inv.-Nr. 30.75.1025). Im 19. Jahrhundert war das Longma nicht Teil des offiziellen Neun-Ränge-Systems der Zivil- oder Militär- beamten. Stattdessen handelte es sich um ein Abzeichen des kaiserlichen Clans, das häufig mit den Verwandten der Kaiserin oder bestimmten kaiserlichen Leibgarden in Ver- bindung gebracht wurde.
