Despite – or perhaps because of – the unusual situa- tion, our recent “ibid online only” auctions were espe- cially popular. The necessity of social distancing has encouraged an ever-greater number of collectors to try timed auctions, and many have been delighted by the convenience, accessibility and excitement of online bidding and buying. Not only have our regular clients participated in our “ibid” auctions, they have also at- tracted a new generation of collectors. This season we will expand the categories offered in our timed auctions, which have been available since 2018, to include Modern Design, Photography, and Art Deco & Art Nouveau, while continuing to offer a wide selection of fine & decorative arts, Asian art, books, wine and vintage fashion. All items in our “ibid online only” sales are available for public preview for several days before the auction.
