Koller View 2/20

2 Ladies and gentlemen, Dear clients and friends, KOLLERview is published four times annually, in English and in German. Edition: 112 000 copies. Next issue: September 2020. The deserted city scene that Giorgio de Chirico depicted in his 1952 paint- ing (see p. 24) is one we have come to know all too well during the past few weeks. So we are especially pleased to finally invite you to the auctions of old masters, furniture, silver, porcelain and jewellery to be held from15–19 June 2020, originally scheduled in March. Our auctions of modern, contemporary and Swiss art as well as jewellery, wristwatches and Asian art will take place in July. Old masters and antiques in June Several high-quality private collections assembled and maintained over dec- ades – and in one case even over centuries – are at the heart of our five-day June auction series focussed on art from the Middle Ages to the 19th centu- ry. The Müller-Frei collection features early and high-quality Meissen porce- lain, silver, 18th-century furniture and old masters. “FromCorot to Purrmann” offers twenty-six works from the collection of a German-Swiss connoisseur, including paintings by Liebermann, Corinth and Utrillo. Further auction highlights include works from the Golden Age of Dutch paint- ing by Salomon van Ruysdael, Pieter de Hooch and Jan van Goyen. The 1–9 July auction series, which comprises a sale of rare wristwatches, is com- plemented by online auctions of photography, design, vintage fashion and other collecting fields.
