Estimate: CHF 40 000/60 000 Among the remarkable objects in our ‘Out of This World’ auction is a two-kilogram lunar meteorite, one of the most beautiful of its kind (ill. 3). The skeleton of a ful- ly-grown Dryosaurus altus is an artefact from the Juras- Echoes from the past Preview of the ‘Out of This World’ auction on 17 June 2024 sic period, 150 million years ago. Its dark-brown patina is characteristic of fossils from the Morrison Formation in North America (ill. 2). Ammonites with a magnificent rainbow colouration are called ammolites; examples such as this are extremely rare (ill. 1). And a complete and very well-preserved fossil walrus skull is unique (ill. 4). ‘Alien’ figurines designed by Swiss artist H.R. Giger and other film props round off this exceptional auction. 4
