Koller Review 2024
6 The two auctions of Impressionist and Modern art in 2024 were a success, with high sell-through rates of over 80% and numerous works sold above their pre-sale estimates. This proves once again the soundness of a realistic valua- tion policy, which we always encourage our consignors to adopt. In auctions, the best prices are almost always attained when potential buyers bid vigorous- ly among themselves on the basis of market-driven estimates. The results for works by Marianne von Werefkin, Gustave Loiseau, Kurt Seligmann and for a watercolour by Auguste Rodin are among the highest ever achieved for these artists at auction. Paintings by Monet, Magritte, Walde and Renoir also Marianne von Werefkin. Landschaft mit Reitern. 1915. Oil on panel. 56.5 × 74.4 cm.
