Review 2025

39 DÜSSELDORF Situated between the Rhine and Königsallee, our Düsseldorf office has been a trusted address for discerning collectors for almost 20 years. In a dis- creet setting, we accompany clients from valuation and consignment through to international logistics. Regular expert days in Düsseldorf, Berlin, Hamburg, Brussels and Amsterdam allow clients to consult di- rectly with specialists from Zurich. In our 18 th -centu- ry townhouse, we present selectedmasterpieces as previews of forthcoming auctions. In the past year, important works were consigned here, including ‘Heavy swell on the high seas’ by Ivan Aivazovsky (CHF 1.7 million), a rare Rolex Daytona ‘Paul New- man’ (CHF 190 000), a diamond ring of 18.45 carats (CHF 162 000) and a surrealist painting by Yves Tan- guy (CHF 380 000). The Munich representative office succeeded in rediscovering a long-hidden work by Paul Signac. Consigned to us at the beginning of the year, it was sold in June for CHF 6.2 million. Another top lot was a flower still life by Ambrosius Bosschaert, which achieved CHF 860 000 in March. In addition to advising clients from southern Germany, Austria and Eastern Europe on consignments, valuations and purchases, we regularly present highlights from the Zurich auctions at the Villa am Herzog- park. We also organise expert days at which clients can present works directly to our specialists. One of the most sought-after objects in the December jewellery auction – a zebra bracelet by Cartier – was consigned to us at such an event.
