1856* ORIGINAL MICHAEL JACKSON FEDORA Signed in white „Love Michael Jackson“ The artist‘s name is printed inside the fedora 31 x 16 cm Provenance: Italian private collection Michael Jackson‘s clothing style is a kalei- doscope of different eras and directions, just like his music. His love for classic suits and fedoras was born under the influence of Fred Astaire, the US actor and dancer whom the young Michael Jackson adored. From 1983, a black fedora beca- me an indispensable part of his outfit. He wore such hats both on stage and in his private life, so the fedora became as de- fining as his equally legendary moonwalk. Although Jackson was never associated with the fashion world, he quickly became a style icon: his performances inspire singers and fashion designers to this day. This often results in a rather convex shape of the meteorite. The chondrites were formed 4.5 billion years ago by the agglome- ration of chondrules (silicate spheres embedded in a fine-grained groundmass) and dust in the solar nebula and are thus the oldest rocks in the solar system and much older than our Earth. Their composition corresponds to the chemical composition of the original solar nebula, with the exception of some elements and noble gases. This meteorite looks like a tool shaped by the fingers of our ancestors. The indentations on its edge are called regmaglypts. They were formed when the surface of the meteorite began to melt in the Earth‘s atmosphere. CHF 2 000 / 3 000 (€ 1 940 / 2 910) | 59
