536 SOCKEL MIT FÜSSEN Gandhara, 2./3. Jh. H 27, B 32 cm. Grauer Schiefer. Geschnitzter Sockel mit abgebrochener Füssen in Sandalen, vermutlich von einem Bodhisattva. Auf der Schauseite des Sockels verehren Stifterfiguren eine buddhistische Reliquie, die auf einem Sockel unter einem Baldachin ruht. Provenienz: Privatsammlung aus der italienischen Schweiz, erworben zwischen 1995 und 2003 bei Renzo Freschi, Mailand. A GREY SCHIST BASE AND FEET Gandhara, 2nd/3rd c. Height 27, width 32 cm. A carved base with feet in sandals, presumably of a bodhisattva. On the front of the pedestal, donor figures venerate a Buddhist reliquary that rests on a low throne under a canopy. Provenance: Private collection from Southern Switzerland, purchased between 1995 and 2003 with Renzo Freschi, Milan.
