Der Beruf des Silberschmieds wurde in der späten Qaja- ren-Zeit mehrheitlich von Juden ausgeübt, in Shiraz lebte die grösste jüdische Gemeinschaft im Iran. During the late Qajar period, the profession of silversmith was predominantly practised by Jews and Shiraz was home to the largest Jewish community in Iran. Die Wandung mit Blütengravur sowie Tughra von Sultan Abdulhamid II. (1876 - 1909), sahh und 90er-Punze (900 Silber). (2) A PAIR OF SILVER GOBLETS Ottoman Turkey, late 19th c. H 10 cm. Cylindrical, on three small feet and with everted rim. The body is engraved with floral motifs and bears the tughra of Sultan Abdulhamid II (1876–1909), along with ‘sahh’ mark and ‘90’ hallmark (900 silver).
