6 Andy Warhol Beginning in the early 1960s, Warhol created numerous portraits of celebrities. His 1974 depiction of Man Ray reflects his admiration for his fellow artist; many of Man Ray's Dadaist and Surrealist works influenced Pop Art. In 1973, the two exceptional talents met in Paris, and the Polaroid photos Warhol took at the time became the models for his Man Ray series. Man Ray. 1974.
