Koller Review 2024
10 Koller à Paris Since the spring of 2024, Koller has been organising auction highlights previews in Paris. In cooperation with Galerie Andres Thalmann, this allows us to present a selection of works to inter- national clients at a prestigious location in the heart of Paris, facing the Palais de l’Élysée. Switzerland has a long-standing artis- tic connection to Paris. Countless art- ists, including Albert Anker, Ferdinand Hodler, Alberto Giacometti, Sophie Tae- uber-Arp, Alice Bailly, Cuno Amiet and Jean Tinguely worked and thrived in the Paris art scene. Swiss designers and ar- chitects also left a profound impression on Paris’ cultural landscape, especial- ly in the post-war years. In turn, many prominent Swiss collections in the 19 th and early 20 th centuries contained im- portant works by French Impressionists, Post-Impressionists and Modernists. Works from such collections are often entrusted to our auctions, where they are purchased by collectors from Swit- zerland, France, and beyond – showing how art effortlessly crosses borders and connects people everywhere. Our Geneva branch, which held twice-annual auctions from 1980 to 2010, hosts four highlights previews each year, two of which take place at our premises in the Palais de l’Athénée, and two at a luxury hotel on Geneva’s lakeside. The representative offices in Düsseldorf and Munich hold alternating highlights previews as well: in our loca- tion in a culturally rich section of Düs- seldorf’s Old Town, and in a historic villa on Munich’s Herzogpark. Specialists are on hand in all our offices and representative locations to assist you with consignments or answer any questions you may have about our auc- tions.
