Bronze mit Rotlack und Lackvergoldung. Der historische Buddha sitzt in
Maravijaya-Position auf einem gestuften, rot-golden gestreiften Sockel.
Das gemusterte Gewand lässt eine Schulter frei. Das rundliche Gesicht
blickt freundlich. Ketumala verloren.

FLASCHENVASE IN EULENFORM.Wohl Thailand, 14. Jh.
H 16,5 cm.
Birnförmige Flasche mit Bechermündung. Plastische Schwanzfedern,
Augen und Schnabel sowie eingeritzte Flügel verwandeln die Flasche in
eine Eule. Die olivgrüne Glasur ist leicht transparent und weist ein feines
Cracquelé auf.
This owl shape is known from 11th century Khmer lime pots, but the glaze
rather looks like the green glazes of Sawankalokh, especially the glassy
drops above the foot. Therefore it is most likely a Sawankalokh adaption
from the 14th century.
